Terms of Use

Quiz XYZ is a trivia game from Luis Suárez, who operates under the name Luewell (“Luewell,” “we,” “us”). These Terms of Use (the “Terms”) are an agreement between you and Luewell governing your use of Quiz XYZ on Android, iOS, and the web. By downloading or playing Quiz XYZ, you agree to these Terms. Nothing in them takes away rights that consumer law gives you and that cannot be waived.

1. License to use Quiz XYZ

Subject to these Terms, Luewell grants you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to download and play Quiz XYZ on devices that you own or control, for your own personal, non-commercial entertainment. You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, rent, reverse engineer, or extract the source code, questions, or other content of the game, or use cheats, bots, or modified apps, except to the extent this restriction is prohibited by applicable law.

2. Who can play

Quiz XYZ is meant for people aged 13 and over. If you are under the age of majority where you live, you may play and make purchases only with the permission of a parent or legal guardian, who accepts these Terms for you and is responsible for your purchases.

3. The game and online duels

Quiz XYZ is a trivia game for entertainment. We write the questions carefully, but some may contain mistakes or become outdated; they are not professional or educational advice. Duels are played online against real people; the other players in the ranking are simulated on your device. Your rival sees your nickname, so choose one of up to 12 characters that is not offensive, misleading, or someone else’s. Do not use modified apps, automation, or outside help in duels; we may cancel results and credits obtained that way. We may add, change, or remove modes, categories, questions, rewards, and features over time.

4. Your account

Signing in with Google, Facebook, or Apple is optional. An account is for one person; keep your sign-in secure, because you are responsible for what is done through it. When you sign in to an account that already holds progress, that progress replaces the progress on your device. You can delete your account at any time in Settings → Account → Delete account; this deletes its progress, credits, unlocks, and purchases owned through it, and cannot be undone. We may suspend or delete an account used to cheat or abuse the game.

5. Credits

Credits are a virtual in-game item that you may earn by playing. They are not shown in this version of the game. Credits have no cash value, cannot be exchanged for money or transferred, and are licensed to you, not sold. Without an account, credits live only on your device and are lost if you delete the game; while you are signed in, they are kept in your account. We may change how credits are earned and what they unlock, without taking away credits already in your balance.

6. In-app purchases

VIP (no ads, every category, statistics, and online duels) and “Remove ads” are sold only in the Android and iOS apps and are processed by the Apple App Store or Google Play; the web version sells nothing. None of them is a subscription or renews. Prices are shown before you buy and may vary by region. One-time purchases can be restored with “Restore purchases”; while you are signed in, a one-time purchase belongs to the first account it was added to. If the store refunds or reverses a purchase, we may remove what it delivered.

Refunds are handled by Apple or Google under their policies; Luewell cannot issue store refunds directly. Purchases are digital content delivered immediately: where the law allows it, you lose a right of withdrawal once delivery has begun. Any right of withdrawal or cancellation that your consumer law gives you and that cannot be waived still applies, and we will help you use it with the store.

7. Ads

The free mobile apps show ads served by Google AdMob, between rounds and as optional rewarded ads. Your privacy choices for ads are explained in our Privacy Policy. We are not responsible for the content of third-party ads or for what they promote.

8. Your data

Our handling of information is described in our Privacy Policy.

9. Intellectual property

Quiz XYZ, its name, design, software, questions, art, sounds, and other content are owned by Luewell or its licensors and are protected by intellectual property laws. Names of films, games, teams, brands, and people that appear in questions belong to their owners, are used only to identify them, and do not imply any endorsement. If you believe something in the game infringes your rights, write to us with the details.

10. Disclaimer of warranties

Quiz XYZ is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose. We do not warrant that the game will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that your progress and credits will always be preserved.

11. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Luewell will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for any loss of data or virtual items, arising out of or related to your use of Quiz XYZ. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.

12. Apple and Google

Quiz XYZ is distributed through Apple’s App Store and Google Play. Apple and Google are not parties to these Terms and are not responsible for the game or its content. This agreement is between you and Luewell only. The store’s own terms also apply to your download and use of the game. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms for the iOS app and may enforce them.

13. Termination

These Terms apply while you use Quiz XYZ. You may stop at any time by uninstalling the game and, if you have one, deleting your account. We may suspend or end your access if you materially breach these Terms, and we may stop offering the game with reasonable notice.

14. Changes and governing law

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Effective” date above and tell you in the game before important changes apply; continuing to play after they apply means you accept the updated Terms. These Terms are governed by the law of the country where you live, including its mandatory consumer protection rules. If the translated versions differ, the English version prevails, unless your law requires otherwise.
