Delete your account

Quiz XYZ is a trivia game from Luis Suárez, who operates under the name Luewell, on Google Play, the App Store, and the web. You have an account only if you signed in with Google, Facebook, or Apple; if you always played without signing in, there is no account to delete and we hold no game data about you. You can delete your account in the game, or ask us to delete it by email.

1. Delete your account in the game

Open the game signed in with the account you want to delete, go to Settings → Account → Delete account, and confirm. An account created with Apple on iPhone or iPad asks you to confirm with Apple first. The deletion takes effect at once and the game signs you out; you keep playing on that device without an account. If it cannot finish, for example offline, delete the account again.

2. Ask us to delete your account

If you no longer have the game or cannot sign in, email us from the address of the account, with the subject “Delete my account,” or tell us which provider you signed in with and the name or email of that account. We may ask for information to confirm the request is yours. We delete the account within one month and confirm it by email: [email protected].

3. What is deleted and what is kept

• Deleted: your account (account ID, provider, name, email, and profile photo link), the copy of your progress, nickname, avatar, and settings, and your wallet (credits, unlocks, purchases owned through the account, friend code, and the records of your credit requests and duel stakes). Google removes them from its backups within the periods of its Firebase terms, up to 180 days.
• Kept: records of store purchases our server checked, without your account ID and only so a receipt can never be paid twice, while the game sells purchases; the IP addresses Google logged at sign-in, for a few weeks; and your deletion email, for up to 24 months.
• Not affected: the progress, credits, and unlocks on your device, and your purchases at Apple or Google, which you can restore with “Restore purchases.” Advertising data that Google AdMob collects is not linked to your account.

4. Data on your device

To delete what is on your device, uninstall the app or clear its storage in your device settings; on the web, delete the site’s data in your browser. This is permanent, because we have no copy. More details are in our Privacy Policy.
